Job Description

When disaster strikes, America looks to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support survivors and first responders in communities all across the country.

FEMA has an immediate need to hire local residents near Austin, Texas to serve as administrative assistants to help support the hurricane response and recovery efforts.

In this position, you will perform a wide range of clerical administrative duties to support office and personnel staff, may also provide administrative support to other senior staff.

Typical assignments include:

• Plan and schedule meetings and appointments
• Assist other administrative support personnel on procedural matters such as the correct procedures to follow in preparing correspondence.
• Research, collect and compile information, and verify the accuracy of data to support office activities
• Prepare and coordinate a variety of materials for briefings and presentations

All candidates should possess strong computer, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Eighteen years of age and US Citizenship is required. Selected candidates will be required to complete a background investigation which includes fingerprinting.
