Part-Time Environmental Technician

Job Description


Environmental technicians are responsible for conducting Environmental and Historic Preservation compliance reviews. They prepare and/or review studies, written reports, charts, graphs, maps, and other documentation describing the technical methods and results of surveys of properties identified for environmental impact statements, environmental assessments, survey reports, and design memorandum. This position closes on 10/22/17.


• Degree in natural resource management, historic preservation, landscape architecture, environmental planning, environmental engineering, ecology, environmental science/studies, history, marine biology, or related field
• Experience completing environmental compliance reviews with state or federal agencies
• Interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
• Written communication and computer skills
• Preferred understanding of NEPA and NHPA
• Knowledge of Environmental Laws, Executive Orders, and Historic Preservation Laws is desirable

Candidates must be able to commit to working on an on-call basis, be available to travel within 24-48 hours, and be able to be deployed for 30 or more days.
