Landscape Laborer -Round Rock, TX

Education: High School graduate or GED not required but preferred.

Experience: No experience needed.

Skills Required: An Operator should possess the basic knowledge and ability to safely operate equipment, use various hand tools, and perform duties typical landscape operations.

Reports to: Crew Leader/Supervisor, Area/Project Managers or Sr. Area/Sr. Project Manager

Key Relationships: Customer/Client

Job Summary:
A Laborer I would be required to operate equipment such as, but is not limited to: utility vehicles; string
trimmers; Hand and push blowers; edgers; flymo; spreaders; hand sprayers; weed eaters; and other equipment.
Principle duties include: equipment operation; flower bed maintenance; restroom cleaning and light janitorial duties; picking up debris; landscape and clubhouse maintenance tasks such as: weeding; raking; mulching; shoveling and digging; trimming; and other duties as assigned and typically found in landscape maintenance operations. The person in this position must be able to get along well with employees, customers, clients and management and represent company in a positive light. The employee will perform most duties in a combination for outside work and a typical office environment. The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet; employee will experience noise/vibrations outside. Job requires employee to perform duties at a company site; working alone and closely with others, in excessive heat & humidity, occasional cold; with exposure to chemicals, solvents, detergents, cleaners, fumes, smoke, gases; will walk on uneven surfaces and operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Essential Functions:
1. Operate various equipment and use hand tools typical to the landscape, horticulture maintenance field.
2. Basic knowledge of landscape operations practices and equipment.
3. Perform equipment operation and other maintenance tasks according to established safety and risk management practices.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. If asked to drive, must possess a valid Class “A” State of Florida Drivers License and have a clean MVR.
2. Must be able to work independently and with other co-workers. Must be very self-motivated.
3. Must have reliable transportation to work.
4. High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal duties.
5. Knowledge of and ability to follow established safety and risk management procedures and practices.
6. Must keep immediate Supervisor informed at all times.

Schedule is Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Pay is up to $12/hr.
