Operations Associate

OVERVIEW
We are seeking part-time associate to support fulfillment, customer service and office administration, who is passionate about connecting people to meaningful, life-enriching products and excited to join an innovative, digital-first brand in Austin, Texas. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer as well as supporting cross-functional teams, the right individual will have office management or similar experience, be highly attuned to details, and be passionate about delivering high-quality, immersive experiences to our customers.

PHLUR is a new digital-first retail brand, beginning its journey in the fine fragrance category with a vision to re-define a staid industry through immersive experiences and uncompromised products. PHLUR’s inaugural proprietary line launched in June 2016, offering customers six distinct and complementary fine fragrances created by notable perfumers. Each individual customer touchpoint has been thoughtfully considered, from sustainable ingredients and packaging, to meaningful educational content, to moments of aesthetic delight. ABOUT YOU
You are an enthusiastic team player not afraid to get your hands dirty across a range of projects. You have laser attention to detail and thrive in an environment where you can consistently dot every i and cross every t. You’ve recognize the importance of delivering a high-quality, beautiful unboxing experience for customers, and you are passionate about exceeding their expectations while simultaneously ensuring accuracy. You have the ability to be on your feet for up to 6 hours per day, and willing to jump into cross functional responsibilities to support the growth of the company.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Be available starting 30 hours weekly with opportunity for growth. Responsibilities will be divided between order fulfillment (70%), customer service (20%) and office management (10%).
Fulfill customer orders, ensuring accuracy against invoices and shipping labels, including some customization.
Provide customer service/support by answering inbound customer emails and phone calls.
Manage office tasks including scheduling, scanning, ordering groceries and office supplies, tracking invoices and payables (including reaching out to vendors as required), coordinating travel and overseeing janitorial services.
Messenger and delivery duties on an ad hoc basis, including collecting proofs, managing post office drop offs, and handling small inventory pickups (valid license and car required).

WHAT WE REQUIRE
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Experience in a professional office setting.
Experience in fulfillment desirable but not required if relevant skills have been developed elsewhere.
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
Ability to be on your feet for up to 6 hours daily.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs boxes.
Proficiency with MS Office and/or Apple iWork tools.
A thoughtful team player and strong communicator ability to jump quickly between tasks.

This will be a part-time position with a competitive hourly rate based on experience. Part-time employees are eligible for employee benefits including healthcare, 401k and equity-based compensation.
